Succession law specialist

With over 30 years experience in succession law Greg Russo is one of Victoria’s most experienced and respected succession law solicitors.

With a background in pure mathematics, Greg not only understands the implications of planning decisions on future taxation, SMSF, trust and estate administration, he is able to break down complex concepts and structures logically and explain options to clients in a way that empowers them to take positive action and ownership of their decisions.

Using the knowledge and insights that he has acquired over three decades, he crafts unique solutions to complex succession problems.

Greg teaches both mathematics and law. He also regularly presents at events to solicitors, accountants and other professionals in Victoria, Queensland and online. He’s a regular presenter for TEN - The Education Network, Legalwise Seminars and the Law Institute of Victoria.

Greg is a Law Institute of Victoria Wills & Estates Accredited Specialist, a chairperson of the LIV Specialist Accreditation Education Advisory Committee, the LIV Wills & Estates Advisory Committee, a board member of the Mount Eliza Community Bank, a member of STEP and is recognised in Doyles Guide in Victoria as a Leading Wills Estates and Litigation Lawyer and a Leading Wills, Estates and Succession Planning Lawyer.

Meet Rosemary Rowlings

Rosemary has worked in various businesses for over 30 years, in both large corporations, small to medium businesses and government. She brings a solid understanding of business and a unique perspective to Greg Russo Law having worked in the Services industry – focusing on clients' needs.

Rosemary's ability to adapt to different businesses throughout her career, has enabled her to focus on solving the different business problems at hand, whether it be in large corporates within the utilities sector (electricity, gas, and rail), telecommunications or state and local government. Her ability to tailor bespoke solutions for clients has seen her win multiple company awards in the services industry.

Her highly disciplined and client focussed approach are significant strengths enabling her to deliver high quality services to clients both across Australia and internationally.

Rosemary's ability to relate to people has also been a key strength in her roles, whether presenting to an audience of Directors, small groups or speaking to people on a one-to-one basis.

Some of her achievements include successful negotiations and delivery of significant service contracts, dispute resolution between parties, presenting training to clients, direct marketing, and the establishment of legal entities in Australia.

Her pragmatic approach and understanding of business structures (partnerships, companies, sole-traders, trusts), enables Rosemary to bring skills into play in terms of business succession planning, business agreements, and risk assessments for clients.

In support of her experience, Rosemary has specialised in law, financial planning and dispute resolution. She holds a Master of Business Administration, a Master of Computer Science and a double degree in Financial Services and Law.

Meet Bennjamin Reilly

Bennjamin has been working in private practice since 2015.  Originally from regional Victoria, Bennjamin relocated to the Mornington Peninsula in 2020 and brings a grounded, practical approach to his work. 

 

He has experience advising clients on estate planning, probate and estate administration and contested estate matters.  He holds a Bachelor of Laws, Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice and is currently completing a Master of Laws (Applied Law) majoring in both Wills & Estates and Estate Planning through the College of Law. 

 

Bennjamin works closely with clients to provide tailored, practical advice in what are often sensitive and complex circumstances.  He takes pride in offering a highly personalised service, combining strong technical knowledge with a clear, down-to-earth communication style that ensures clients feel supported and informed at every stage. 

 

With a detail-oriented and solutions-focussed approach, Bennjamin is committed to delivering thoughtful, commercially sensible outcomes that reflect each client’s individual needs.
